It's not an accident HQ picked this day to start the bombings. On May 8th, World War 2 in Europe ended with Allied Victory. This day is National Day in Russia since 2035, I guess HQ wanted them to know that another war with their old Ally and Enemy starts again.
At 8PM, our regiment which consists of 10 K12PL howitzers and 20 AHS35 Krab SPA's opened fire on small town of Frydlant, which 2 years ago became the biggest ammo depot in Occupied Chechia. If someone would succeed in blowing it to pieces, Russian forces would need heavy supplies to come from Ukraine or Russia. It would delay the Russian reaction on those bombings and would give Americans time to move to the borders and reinforce our units. With their help we could begin long awaited by Washington offensive against Russia.
If it only would be as easy as it sounds...
Our strike was successful, but our drone footage shows that we managed to destroy only 2/3 of the ammunition. It meant that we will have to prepare defensive line against weakened Russians who were now aware of what was going on.
Eastern side saw much more success. Russians didn't knew what was going on for the first half an hour of bombings. Before Russians start counteroffensive, it's gonna take at least 1 day for them to reorganise. And knowing Russians from our experience, they are not really smart when it comes to strategy. They had many fuck ups in 2020s, seemed like their strategy hasn't changed a bit since World War 2.
Our regiment wasted around 300 shells. A bit too much for an ammo depot, but it's good to keep your enemies morale low. Trust me, I know something about that.
We radioed HQ to notify them about our success, we got orders to stand our ground and when we'll get ammo supplies and find good targets, continue our bombings. But we'll have to move out in maybe a week, before Russians pinpoint our location and send an airforce onto us.
Pstrąże is good to hide a small force, but it's not good to hide entire Artillery Regiment. For now, we are safe...
I was about to end this transmission, when radio went live again.

WATOSZEK: "Co się dzieje?"
"What's going on?"
HQ: "Kapitanie, zostajecie wezwani na rozmowy o naszej strategii obronnej."
"Captain, you've been called for our defensive strategy talks."
WATOSZEK: "Gdzie mam się udać?"
"Where I'm supposed to go?"
HQ: "Do Krakowa."
"To Cracow."
WATOSZEK: "Kiedy?"
"When?"
HQ: "Za 4 dni, bez odbioru."
"In 4 days, over and out."

Everyone know that there's trouble when you're being called to the meeting, instead of using the radio. Last time we had this kind of meeting was before the blackout of 2040.
I think we started celebrating too soon…
