### Description
Due to the effects of climate change, Chile struggled in the 30's and 40's. As provinces fractured, city police forces started to collapse. The solution to maintain law and order was the formation of Guardia del Pueblo, a militarized police force that worked united across several provinces in Northern, Central, and Southern Chile. Their emblem is a snake inspired by the Chilean legend of Trentren Vilu, a protector of land and humanity.
Guardia del Pueblo's Divisón Norte faced constant resistance in [[Haven|El Alicanto]]. As locals attempted to redistribute resources across Atacama the GDP repeatedly intervened, enforcing the wishes of whichever private corporation they were assisting that day.
When [[Arkangel]] began construction of its lithium mine the GDP, under [[Capt. Bastion Morales|Captain Bastion Morales]], was brought in to ensure a peaceful transition. As the discourse of people's versus corporation's rights escalated over the use of Chilean water, so too did the conflict between the GDP and the local militia [[Brotherhood of Night]]. The fighting intensified after '45, forcing a permanent GDP presence in the region to protect Arkangel's interests. Combat between both sides was only halted with the [[Thousand Petals Coalition|Coalition's]] invasion of Chile.
