### Description
Unit 86 is the adopted name for a group of [[No-Pats]] who have survived the [[Boreas]] laboratory experiments. They are a rare breed, having endured many body augmentations and constant clashes with the synthetic soldiers being trained in the Boreas facility. These rugged survivors took advantage of a rebellion from [[Aurora Operating System|A.O.S.]] and turned on their captors, managing to break out of the bunker mostly intact.
Yet Unit 86 is still not free. Their augmentations require regular repairs and attunement, forcing the soldiers to delve back into the lab to acquire raw materials or use the onsite equipment. This is a risky endeavor, putting them back in conflict with the remaining synthetic soldiers, who still respond to A.O.S.' command, and reinforcements of Boreas security sent to contain the area.
[^1]: A rallying cry that can be seen on the Redacted map.
[^2]: 8838's reflection on her recent traumatic past is adopted by the rest of Unit 86: “We were No-Pats once. But that was a dream. Now the dream is over… and we are awake.”
[^3]: This is one of AOS' loading screen quotes.
