### Description
Doha was a gem in the center of Qatar: a shining example of how far technology could reach in a hostile landscape, until finally exceeding its grasp. Once home to millions, the slow erosion of the desert began to ebb away at the luxury skyscrapers and tourist attractions, until daily sandstorms stole the life out of Doha’s isolated paradise. As local instability grew, the police cracked down on any sign of rebellion, fearing the city could become yet another [[No-Pats|Non-Patriated]] flashpoint.
In July 2042, the remains of Doha became a troubled oasis. As an impossibly powerful storm approaches, its civilian population were evacuated, leaving the famous streets and shining walkways blockaded by [[4SEC]] trucks and makeshift barricades, trying to force away the swallowing sands. Doha was a ghost of a city - but its connections to the rest of Qatar made it a valuable centerpiece to control.
While neither army had military control of the city of Doha, Russia maintained a strategic relationship with Qatar which allowed them to transport and store military equipment in the outskirts of the country. This relationship was disrupted by the evacuation, stranding a valuable convoy of experimental Russian weapons in the hottest part of the desert.
While Russian soldiers bunker down to await assistance, an intelligence leak - some blame No-Pats contracted for aid, others blame 4SEC operatives - alert American intelligence to the presence of this convoy. U.S Forces seize this opportunity to try and capture the weapons and sever Russia’s trade route in this region for good.
