If I didn't do it, someone else would." - BCS Guard "This should be a stain on the international community that No-Pats are being taken by the hundreds and no one lifts a finger to find out why." - Oz "No-Pats don't vanish overnight... They leave for new contracts, for family, or even out of boredom, but they don't disappear for no good reason."[^1] - Reed <br> ### Description The earliest reported case of missing [[No-Pats]] occurred in 2045. Most instances involved those living in refugee camps or shelters where authorities either lacked resources to conduct proper investigations or were simply indifferent to the plight of those under their care. It wasn't until 2048 that evidence emerged confirming No-Pats were being abducted, and on a scale far bigger than anyone had imagined. The uncovering of falsified manifests highlighted dozens of incidents where combat aircraft carrying No-Pat casualties had been diverted to unregistered airfields only for those onboard to vanish. It was a scandal that linked multiple countries in a trail of criminality, and at every stage the perpetrators remained anonymous. Only once a squad of No-Pat specialists infiltrated the [[Boreas]] facility was the fate of the thousands reported missing confirmed. The vast majority were dead as a result of the inhumane experiments involved in the synthetic soldier program. Those lucky enough to survive were forced to live with the horrors inflicted upon them. They now found themselves tethered to the place of their torture, left scavenging for parts to augment their mutilated bodies. [^1]: Taken from Reed's [[Dustwun|"Dustwun"]] report.
