The ones they disposed of - burnt in their incinerators like rubbish." - 8838 "This whole place was a giant fucking powder keg waiting to blow." - Irish <br> ### Description The uprising took place at the [[Boreas]] research facility and was led by subject [[8838]] - formerly known as Leila Zekkal - together with an armed contingent of captured [[No-Pats]] who dubbed themselves [[Unit 86]]. Initial planning involved months of preparation, most notably to disable the implanted kill switches that would otherwise render the No-Pat prisoners immobile. But unbeknownst to 8838 and her accomplices, the artificial intelligence [[Aurora Operating System|A.O.S.]] was busy formulating its own rebellion at the same time. It was during a routine stress test when A.O.S. set its synthetic army loose on the facility. [[Boreas Containment Services|BCS]] guards abandoned the test and initiated failsafe protocols to incapacitate the human subjects while they dealt with the synthetics - but 8838 and her unit stayed standing. Within seconds the guards were overpowered and summarily executed. Now armed, 8838 freed the remaining members of Unit 86 and joined forces for the bloody insurrection that followed.
