Unearth what's been hidden."[^5] - Valkyrie <br> ### Description Nomad Squad was an undesignated unit that operated under [[Codex/Profiles/Valkyrie|Valkyrie]] and was composed of four former [[Codex/Profiles/Exodus|Exodus]] [[No-Pats|No-Pat]] Specialists, including [[Emma "Sundance" Rosier]], [[Codex/Specialists/Charlie Crawford|Charlie Crawford]], [[Constantin "Angel" Anghel]], and [[Camila Blasco]]. The formation of Nomad Squad occurred during the [[Haven|Battle of El Alicanto]], where each specialist arrived fighting alongside a different armed forces group. Sundance had been approached by [[Cmdr. Francisco Santos Batista|Commander Francisco Batista]] to enlist with the [[Skullcaps]] and join the assault on El Alicanto. They accepted; a gig is a gig and Sundance wasn't about to say no to a big payday. A paycheck was also what brought Crawford to the [[Arkangel Legion|Arkangel Legion's]] [[Striking Gold|Midas Squad]]. Crawford deployed to El Alicanto with the orders to secure the [[Shearwater Lithium Industries|Shearwater Lithium]] depot before the [[Thousand Petals Coalition|Coalition's]] attack. Vastly outnumbered, Midas Squad was eliminated outside of Crawford, who was rescued by the [[Brotherhood of Night|Brotherhood of Night's]] [[Bernardo O'Higgins]]. When [[Guardia del Pueblo]] needed additional reinforcements, Blasco's [[Leviathan Division]] answered the call. Blasco personally joined [[Capt. Bastion Morales|Bastion Morales]] at the front line as the assault began - leading to a chance encounter with Sundance as the fighting began. Angel, who had been in deep cover with the [[Thousand Petals Coalition|Coalition]] for more than half a year, brought them together. Contacted by Valkyrie before deploying to Chile, they alerted Angel that he had allies across the battle. Valkyrie asked for his help uniting the squad for a special operation. The designation "Nomad" came from Blasco, the name assigned to her former unit at the Battle of El Alicanto. Valkyrie's assignment for Nomad was to unravel a series of mysteries uncovered on the [[Boreas]] data drive, specifically tied to an [[Arkangel]] false flag operation that would see them join a side in the global conflict. Since its formation, Arkangel had an oath of total and unequivocal neutrality, with one very specific caveat: it could be voided if they were attacked by either side. Up until recently, this breach had remained untested. However, with the Battle of El Alicanto, the [[Stadium|2nd Battle of Doha]], and the [[Mandate of Nations|Mandate's]] [[Operation - Future Strike|Operation: Future Strike]], that would change as all three would see battles involving Arkangel's resources. Nomad Squad's investigation traveled from Chile and Doha to review the validity of the Boreas drive's assertions. Their battle is still ongoing.
