### Description
Dozer grew up in Mexico to a family of migrant workers. At the age of 10, he and his family undertook the dangerous journey into Texas and settled in El Paso to make a life for themselves.
Throughout his adolescence, Dozer struggled with his identity, not knowing where he truly belonged. When he discovered the U.S. Army offering the chance for citizenship he joined up and completed his first tour of duty with the 20th Special Forces Group deployed in Latin America.
During his time there he witnessed the early signs of the impending climate crisis as shorelines began to disappear. His team was involved in the evacuation of several coastal cities for which he earned a Purple Heart and the Army Good Conduct medal for having a pristine record. These accolades prompted SOCOM to groom him for team leadership.
But his life and career were upended when he was generally discharged and denied American citizenship due to the global immigration crisis. In the wake of the media frenzy, even some of his own team turned their back on him as he was deported back to Mexico.
Dozer resettled in El Salvador where he utilized the skills he learned in the U.S. Army to operate as a gunsmith. His expertise saw him regularly employed by drug cartels to arm their personnel. The work was dangerous but paid well and helped him support his wife, Isabel Espinoza, and their two children, Raquel and Rafa. But just as he began to build a life, rampant storms forced him and his family to leave and take shelter with a [[No-Pats|No-Pat]] camp in Colombia.
It was here that Dozer was approached by [[Codex/Specialists/Kimble "Irish" Graves|Irish]]. He was recruiting for a special mission and the gunsmith’s expertise was legendary. Sympathetic to the No-Pat cause, Dozer signed up and brought his family aboard the [[Codex/Profiles/Exodus|Exodus]]. With time it could be home. One that Dozer will defend with his life.
