ZAIN: I suppose I'd better. --- TOP SECRET / [[Sulis|SULIS]] COMMAND FROM THE DESK OF LIEUTENANT COLONEL OTTO BAUER I continue to monitor the results of Project: Firestorm in hopes of finding worthy candidates for the weapon. The individual trial from yesterday produced one particularly promising specimen. He fought with a ruthlessness yet unseen. To some, the carnage he wrought may be considered too far. If we are to carry out our mission, I believe these are the lengths we must go. Doubt is of no use here. Our weapon of prophecy can only be wielded by those unafraid to do what is necessary. It is in the best interests of Sulis to continue studying this candidate to see what drove him to this point. Some of our most stunning failures were those that had strong wills and a strict sense of self. This man was truly a desperate sort, ready to be forged by this challenge. If they hold despair in their hearts already, we can offer them a chance. Truly save them. People like that would flock to us in droves if it meant they would achieve greatness. The flames have ravaged the candidate's body. He is nearly unrecognizable, and yet he doesn't seem bothered. If anything, he appears to be proud of what he achieved and is readily devoting himself to our cause. It is truly fascinating and to be applauded. Pain is temporary, after all. Devotion is forever.
