![[before-dark-creations.png]] *Published on DATE PLACEHOLDER* *Cover image made by Gene.* --- Hey there, Comet here! To say a lot happened before Season 6's launch would be an understatement. There was something new almost every single day in the latter weeks of September. From leaked schematics to new web lore, it certainly felt like something special was coming in Season 6 (and I would say that definitely came true). Below, you'll find a breakdown of everything that was released leading up to Dark Creations and how each piece built upon each other.
## Timeline ### September 13th Across all of the maps in Battlefield 2042, posters were found with pictures of No-Pats who are designated "MIA." There were also identical QR codes on these posters, which led to the "Find No-Pats" website (which has been deactivated with the release of Season 6). On this new website, Arkangel provides information about their "No-Pat Recovery Initiative." In addition, the first puzzle piece was found here; a puzzle which would show us a general location of the new map coming in Season 6. ![[puzzle-piece-alpha.png]] *Site Schematic Alpha*
### September 15th ![[duswun.jpg]] At 11:00 AM EST/ 3:00 PM UTC, a new entry in The Reed Report was published titled "Dustwun." Here are some important details: - "DUSTWUN" is a abbreviation for "duty status--whereabouts unknown." This term is used for United States service members in particular. - The phenomenon of a large number of No-Pats going missing has happened "over the last three years," meaning it started in 2045. - The circumstances of these disappearances are strange. They leave during the middle of an operation and their gun and radio are left behind. It's as if they are consciously abandoning their obligations to go somewhere... - Mitahli Reed is asking for people to reach out, especially those who have lost their loved ones. - She interviews a No-Pat who lost a squadmate. They reveal that those No-Pats aware of these disappearances have contacted their commanders, the European Recovery Foundation, and the Dark Market. - In the middle of the interview, the unnamed No-Pat remembers watching his squadmate be pulled into the darkness. This prompts Reed losing connection. It's up to us to guess who's behind this interference.
### September 19th ![[codex-stitch-up.png]] A new entry in the Specialist Stories titled "Stitch Up" was published at 11:00 AM EST/ 3:00 PM UTC.
### September 20th On the Battlefield Discord server, an account named "j.paik" sent a message at 11:14 AM EST in the \#battlefield-2042 channel: >"Have to keep a low profile. Hope the data is going through, can't be spotted." Paik attached the second piece of the site schematic as well: ![[puzzle-piece-beta.png]] *Site Schematic Beta*
### September 21st Paik sent her second message, along with a hint towards another site schematic piece, on Discord at 7:23 AM EST: >"I tried sending one already, is this thing on? working? I can't keep hitting the same output, it'll get caught. Hopefully you're paying attention." ![[boreray-puzzle-3.png]] *Appears to read "DATA BREACH SUCCESS // WEEKLY RADAR / STATUS CONNECTED"* After checking the [Weekly Radar](https://x.com/Battlefield/status/1704467025483944158?s=20) that Battlefield posted on Twitter, there was the third site schematic piece hidden between transitions in the video. ![[puzzle-piece-charlie.png]] *Site Schematic Charlie* Another piece, the fourth, was discovered in the Message of the Day in Battlefield 2042: ![[puzzle-piece-delta.png]] *Site Schematic Delta*
### September 22nd Paik's third message was sent at 1:43 PM EST: >"Going silent, few days. Connection spotted. Attention to channels. This place..." This also included the fifth schematic piece: ![[puzzle-piece-echo.png]] *Site Schematic Echo*
### September 25th Battlefield hid the sixth schematic piece in a [Redux Contest video:](https://x.com/Battlefield/status/1706335692224176540?s=20) ![[puzzle-piece-foxtrot.png]] *Site Schematic Foxtrot* Paik didn't fib - she did not communicate during the weekend but resumed on Monday at 1:43 PM EST: >"Seems the latest breach made it out successfully. Will continue with minimal noise over the channels. Less risk at getting caught. Be advised: we don’t know who’s listening. Arkangel may be compromised."
### September 26th At 8:00 AM EST, three things happened: 1. the Narrative Hunt was activated. 2. A new entry in the Arkangel Archives was published titled "False Flags." Importantly, the memo was almost entirely redacted. 3. The seventh schematic piece was discovered on the Find No-Pats website. ![[puzzle-piece-golf.png]] *Site Schematic Golf* Paik transmitted her fifth message at 1:21 PM EST: >"Told you Arkangel were not to be trusted. Redacted report? Something to hide? Let's fix that."
### September 27th The penultimate schematic piece was discovered on the [Battlefield 2042 Steam Weekly Radar:](https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/1517290/view/3712711911214821387?l=english) ![[puzzle-piece-hotel.png]] *Site Schematic Hotel* The Narrative Hunt was proving difficult to solve and Paik reported this to Valkyrie in her sixth message: >"Valkyrie, the transmissions have been received, and they found the data drive, but they’re not still listening. The codes remain encrypted, they haven’t completed their final test. Returning to data breach now."
### September 28th Battlefield creators were sent a package, which included a letter from Paik and a Non-Patriated ID card displaying one of the twelve Missing No-Pats. The package itself was branded with the Boreas logo, the company that would take the forefront of Season 6. The final site schematic piece was added to the Find No-Pats website: ![[puzzle-piece-india.png]] *Site Schematic India* At 12:22 PM EST, Paik sent her seventh message: >"Valkyrie sends their appreciation. You completed the first test.

But there’s still work to be done. You found my final breach.

**_'Technology made with trust?'_**
Their mentality is dated. The reveal lies in code.

The clock is ticking. Exfil underway."
### September 29th The surprise inclusion of Henry Blackburn was revealed in the decrypted communications at 11:00 AM EST. Shortly after at 12:19 PM EST, Paik sent her eighth and final message: >Arkangel message decrypted. Exfil successful. The lid is about to lift.
Questions remain. The Hero of New York - How much does he know? Is he being kept in the dark? Involved?
Something for another day. Another successful op. Paik out."
### October 1st The final web lore before Season 6 released at 11:00 AM EST titled "Operation Seance." ![[codex-operation-seance.png]]
