![[The Exodus Archives Cover.png]] *Published on September 8th* --- Hey there, Comet here! For a while now I've wanted to sit down and write an update about the site. There haven't been any major updates to The Archives this year. This has made me quite conflicted and disappointed in myself because just before this year started, I had so many ideas and content in the works. So, what happened? Well, a lot to me personally. The first half of the year was a really trying time for me. Depression and anxiety coupled with a busy semester at college had me burning out and beat me up mentally. My health really took a downturn when I was involved in a car accident. Everything spiked and I did what I've learned to do, repress my struggles. However, this time it came back and affected me like never before. I had to withdraw from my classes and I decided, for the first time, to focus on myself. I started talking to a therapist and it has helped me so much. Throughout this time, I've still tried to make content on anything new. I am also constantly thinking about where I want to take The Exodus Archives. When the site came out, the main section was Tauno's Archives. It was my own database of the 2042 narrative told through a character that I made, journalist Tauno Jutt. A while ago, I decided to remove the entirety of this section as a lot of the information was outdated. I have been thinking long and hard about what I want to do with this new version of Tauno's Archives. One word that has been in my head is "experience." I want to take you through an experience, immersing you in the World of 2042 with a fully realized backstory for Tauno that impacts the Archives themselves. Following this idea of experiences, I shifted my perspective of the site as a whole. Now, I see The Exodus Archives as a platform, something I can use to bring different experiences to you. I wasn't entirely sure how the reception would be, but I was instantly surprised by DICE developers mentioning it on Twitter. I thought it would be a nice resource for those who are interested into the lore and it has blossomed into something I couldn't imagine. I have shared release information on Tauno's Archives V2, that being releasing before the end of the year, but I think it might not be ready then. The scope of the project is quite big, easily requiring more time than the initial version took to make (over a month of working). The one word I can share about this experience is "Nexus." Finally, I plan to make a development update on the Player Card Archives, which has been slowly worked on for the last month. I want to implement a set of features that makes it easy to read player cards in "chunks" or a related group of player cards. Thank you for reading and visiting The Exodus Archives, Comet
