**Author:** AZNCracka --- ### Chapter 1 ![[Unjust_Instability_1.mp3]] “30th January, 2042. Exodus. My name is Alara Sahin. I was born (Turkey, my country) in 2014. Though I can say, especially compared to now…things were much nicer and easier back then…sigh, went to school, wanted to become an F1 Driver, like Seda Kaçan. That passion hasn’t really changed growing up, but those details will come soon. Before this journey begins on board the Exodus, and very soon, my training, I was told to leave an archive, detailing who I am, and where I’ve come from in my life. Funny enough, what they don’t know, I actually did keep logs of moments throughout my life I thought were very memorable, and yes, I’ll share my experiences throughout the years for the No-Pat record, before I became called as such. I’ll be honest, I have no idea what tomorrow may bring, nor do I know exactly who will need to hear this…but at the very least, this might help others understand there are others suffering apart from themselves, and we’re here to help.”
### Chapter 2 ![[Unjust_Instability_2.mp3]] “17th August 2032, Marmara University. Well, mother, father. I finally decided on my major – I’m going to take up Automotive Tech, and minor in Mech engineering and Fashion! I’m a girl, go figure. Gotta look good, even when some other stuff isn’t. Tensions between US and Russian escalating every day doesn’t sit well with my country. Anyway, me and my friends went to the shops and the beach after class to relax, and they were oddly emptier than I remember. Maybe this fucking global heat really is affecting everything, even preventing people from going for a swim to cool off. Either that, or maybe it was the time we all went, or maybe it’s what I mentioned before. I’m all for more sand between my toes, but I don’t know, something feels off. Turkey, my beloved country…we’re going to be okay…right?”
### Chapter 3 ![[Unjust_Instability_3.mp3]] “July 4th 2034, and we all finally graduated! Took a couple months after the ceremony to put the trip together, but me and some of my friends are on a trip to America for vacation! Right now, we’re here in New York for a couple weeks, then we head out after that for Los Angeles! It’s been lots of fun, we got to see the iconic sights, and take in the American culture we all heard about. We’re going to be here for a month, so we’re making the most out of it – oh my God, this city’s incredible! We totally deserve it, I think. All the turmoil throughout college, things are looking up. Friends have a job lined up in their industries, and I got to land an opportunity to work with some great companies, like Airbus and Brant. This trip was exactly what we all needed; with everything that’s happened…it’s for the best that got away from it all for a bit. Who knows, it’ll be back to reality when we eventually get back. But that’s not right now…Hm? Okay, going for dinner now! We found a nice spot overlooking the Hudson for the fireworks!”
### Chapter 4 ![[Unjust_Instability_4.mp3]] “Soo…it’s been a while since I’ve done this, but I’m here now. 17th June 2035, Anatola. JUST finished my training for the Turkish army reserves. Tensions don’t seem to falter in Europe; I heard that Germany is tipping towards a disastrous recession…that doesn’t spell good news for the EU. Turkey isn’t in the EU, so that won’t affect us, but even then, we’re not doing so hot either; the president is preparing to have talks with NATO to decide on what to do next with military strategy. I guess with this, I should at least be prepared for what all this could fucking mean. And hey, my job with F1 is secure, that hasn’t changed much, I just hope the flooding that’s happened lately doesn’t keep destroying the tracks. Anyway, while I was at camp, I met someone I’d move in with, kinda why I’m not back in Istanbul. Yes, his name is Osmen, and it felt like we saw something in each other…like I could spend the rest of my life with him. Besides, things will be better if we stick together, this thickness in the air screams things will get worse, and it’s not going away.”
### Chapter 5 ![[Unjust_Instability_5.mp3]] "18th May 2036. Life is both moving quicker and slower than I want…The world is slowly going to hell, and I’m just getting busier. That being said, it isn’t all bad. Today, I got to marry the man I met in camp all those years ago! It was a beautiful day to get married on the Marmara Sea, and the celebration helped everyone, how you say, “get away” from it all, at least for a bit… I’m keeping this one short, don’t want to ruin the mood while me and the hubby are here in Hawaii. Want to take it all in while we can!”
### Chapter 6 ![[Unjust_Instability_6.mp3]] “19th April, 2039. West Turkey just got hit by a 7.5 earthquake! I just called and checked on everyone. Family and friends are still alive and mostly one piece, thank fuck. However, some of them I found out are in the hospital now to get checked, including nana, she fell from the shockwave unfortunately. Osman is worried our children got seriously hurt too…shit…I did mention that, right? Yes, I have kids now, two boys and a girl! Sigh, I’m so stressed right now about everything and how everyone’s doing. I don’t like to rely on the politics, now it seems like it’s coming to a head. But if they don’t send us to war first, the earthquakes and weather sure will.”
### Chapter 7 ![[Unjust_Instability_7.mp3]] “Well, it’s 10th March 2040. Between raising kids and trying to earn a living, things seem to have only slowly gone to being shittier from my last audio entry, but only by a bit. We do what we can to get by, make sure the kids are growing healthy. The European economy isn’t what it used to be…food production and medicine, that sort of shit we need to survive, it hasn’t gotten too hard to find, but it’s always in the news…but because of what’s happened in every other country, it affects us too. What drove the economy before, the tourism and imports especially, has gotten less and less each year since I can remember…it’s definitely most noticeable now. Osmen and I are considering leaving the country before too long. We’re worried with tensions in the air mounting, there’d a draft coming, and it might not even be to protect this country from outside enemies. We worry about panic brewing; and I would hate for to be asked to turn on our own people in the event of uprising or riots.”
### Chapter 8 ![[Unjust_Instability_8.mp3]] “HOLY SHIT, WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?? It’s 12th March 2040, and ALL the power everywhere is just GONE! Jesus, fuck everything I said a couple days ago. I can’t even see into the street right now. My only light source right now is from my phone. Mom, Dad, I hope you’re going fine too, I’d call you, but the cell phone towers are disabled too. It’ll be best to get back to you in Istanbul. I should say this to Osmen, we’ll take his family with us—HEY! I need to talk with you! We should head to Istanbul! YES! Let’s bring your family to mine, before they instate martial law. Anyway, looks like we got some stuff to take care of now. Need to go make sure the kids are safe, and pack everything we can by the morning.”
### Chapter 9 ![[Unjust_Instability_9.mp3]] “27th August 2040. It’s been a bit since that terrible blackout. Come to think of it, the power grid to the country was more or less restored in a month after that. It was only this past spring could I call my friends and go online again, that shit sucked. As for our family, we’re all together now, taking up two houses on the same block, helps out a lot. Friends and I…yeah, we’re all okay now, but we just saw what the president’s next bold move in helping his people out is. Basically, he said he’s sure as shit he won’t get much out of NATO or the UN, Jesus, this continent is falling further apart with every month…What is it!? Huh? For us? Hmmm, hold on, something came in the mail, apparently its addressed to us. I’m coming! …Well, looks like we might have a new opportunity to get the fuck out of here. Some letter from the Turkish government read we’re chosen to board some ship called the Exodus…never heard of it. But apparently, they’re taking select people from some countries with military backgrounds to take refuge with. I don’t know…I don’t like it, but I also don’t like our current situation here in Türkçe either. This’ll be something to talk about with everyone, just a matter of agreeing with our choices.”
### Chapter 10 ![[Unjust_Instability_10.mp3]] “2nd September 2041. It took a while, and it was never easy to discuss it. But…we finally decided. If we’re meant to die, it won’t be because of our government and how inept they are to do anything right. It will be on our terms, doing what we think is the right thing to do. We’ll protect our family the way we think they should be protected, and they finally see that now. I’m glad. My other friends moved away by now, found refuge in America and other parts of western Europe…well, countries that are still doing okay anyway. I’m recording this as things are packed and organized. We’re meant to reach the port in another couple hours, so we gotta go soon. But…I will miss being here, calling it home…being on a ship, let alone a military ship, won’t be easy to adjust to, hell, I worry for my folks. Osmen is right though…gotta keep our head up, I’m sure we’ll be alright.” “Well, time to say bye now. Headed to the port now. Hopefully our prior military experience we have will help us figure out what we need to do.”
SUBJECT: ALARA SAHIN STATUS: ALIVE LOCATION: EXODUS LAST SEEN: ON BOARD MFS-04 EXODUS, BEARING NORTHEAST AWAITING FURTHER UPDATES
